Special Lecture with Dan Alon

"My Experiences at Munich, 1972"

Dan Alon, one of the five survivors of the 1972 Munich Olympics massacre, began fencing when he was 12. At 27, he marched proudly into the 1972 Munich Olympics to compete for his country with fifteen fellow Israeli athletes. On September 5 at 4:30am, Alon awoke to the sound of machine guns: the Palestinian terrorist group Black September had invaded their suite in Olympic Village and seized 11 of the
athletes as hostages. None survived.

Come and hear Dan tell his story at Chabad - a joint project of Chabad of Bloomsbury and Chabad on South London's Campuses.

The lecture will be held on Thursday, 13 November at the Wilkins Gustave Tuck Lecture Theatre in the UCL Main Building*.

There will be a reception in the Wilkins Haldane Room at UCL (in the same building as the lecture theatre) at 7:00PM, followed by the lecture at 8:00PM.

Admission is free (but please book)
