The absolute deadline for eating chametz is the morning before Passover, it is forbidden to eat chametz until after the close of the festival in eight days.

Sell and Burn Chametz before

By this time, the chametz should be burned, and there should be no chametz remaining in your possession.

What is Pesach?

The eight-day festival of Passover is celebrated in the early spring, from the 15th through the 22nd of the Hebrew month of Nissan. Passover (Pesach) commemorates the emancipation of the Israelites from slavery in ancient Egypt. Pesach is observed by avoiding leaven, and highlighted by the Seder meals that include four cups of wine, eating matzah and bitter herbs, and retelling the story of the Exodus

Please note that due to the Festival, we will not be on our phones, Whatsapp, computers, social media etc from Friday afternoon April 11, until Monday night April 14 and again from Friday April 18 until Sunday night April 20. If you need to contact us please do so the following day.

Although this is something we do because we have to under Jewish tradition, it is a wonderful blessing and a precious treasure. We encourage you to similarly set yourself free, to liberate yourself from the tyranny of having to be constantly tethered to electronic devices, to external stimuli and to instead refocus on your soul, your inner self, your family, your connection with G-d and with our beautiful heritage and tradition.
